OUR DAILY MEALS -The 12th Primary School of KOzani
Here we are! (Chios, Greece)
Hello, from the 6th graders
of the 9th primary
school of Chios, the island of mastic trees in
Greece!
There
are 20 students in our class,6 boys and 14 girls.
A
few things about our school now : It’s close to the centre of the capital of
Chios island, Chios ,about 10 min. walk from the city centre .It’s a big school
with a lot of teachers and our classrooms are big with large windows. There are
interactive whiteboards, projectors and computers in our classrooms. Our
schoolyard is big and we play there a lot of sports, especially football,
volleyball and basketball. There are trees around the building and we feel close
to nature!
Our
school subjects are: History, Greek Language ,English, Maths, Science,
Religious Education, Citizenship, Art, Physical Education ,French ,Music and
Computer Science.
In
the afternoon, we sometimes come back to school and play with our
classmates.
A
lot of events take place in our school all year round: Sports competitions, song
and dancing contests and performances.
We
are very excited about our new e twinning project! We will write too many things
about ourselves and find out what other students think about themselves, their
hometowns and especially their eating habits.

Hello, European friends! In our
first project we followed the following procedure in order to find out our
eating habits, record them and above all change them in case they are
wrong:
1.We filled in a
questionnaire.
2.We recorded the
results.
3.We made drawings of the most
popular foods we consume at our meals.
4.We took decisions if we should
change some food items and substitute them with others.
AND NOW THE RESULTS:

CHANGES (EATING HABITS
RESOLUTIONS):
Generally, our eating habits are
good. We follow a healthy diet consisting of a lot of fruit, dairy products,
chicken and salad. Fortunately, we don’t consume many sweets, packaged food and
junk food. But, we don’t eat many legumes and fish. So, we should change that
and follow the Mediterranean diet which suggests a lot of legumes, olive oil,
fish, a little red meat, mostly poultry, fruit and vegetables.
Finally, we should cut down on
sugar and sweets, limiting them to once or twice a week.
